CHURCH PLANTING

Having been reconciled to God, we now live as sent people - demonstrating and proclaiming the gospel to the ends of the world. We do this by multiplying disciples, missionaries, and churches - just as Jesus did. Click on an icon below to learn more about New City Church's ministry in these areas.

LOCAL PLANTING

NETWORKING

We began as a plant out of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Georgia. In the early days, Pastor Ryan and Megan relied heavily on the experience and support of others - family, friends, mentors, coaches, networks, our mother church, and our denomination. As we have grown and become an established church we have a wealth of experience to share. By participating within church planting networks, New City Church offers hope, leadership, and support to those who feel the call to plant churches.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The support of other churches, organizations, and individuals is often critical to the flourishing of a new church plant while casting vision and gathering mission-minded people before and after launching. God provided for New City Church through many generous gifts in our early formative years. Offering support and guidance to other church plants has always been an important aspect of our mission.

CHRIST REDEEMER | JONESBORO, AR

We are excited to support the Christ Redeemer church plant in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Founding Pastor Jeff Wreyford is a longtime friend to New City Church who was of great encouragement to us when he was Associate Pastor at ChristChurch in Suwanee during our early years.

GLOBAL PLANTING

IMMEDIATE INVESTMENT

Even though we are a small and young church, we can share our experience as church planters, engage in mercy ministry, and help with the development of discipling relationships with missionaries who are planting churches around the world. There is no reason to wait!

OUR EARLY ENDEAVOR

In our first two years, we were blessed to partner with Mission to the World and their team of dedicated missionaries in La Ceiba, Honduras.  We made three trips to Honduras and learned a lot about global missions and international church planting.

COMPANION WITH THE POOR

Companion With The Poor is a beautiful ministry based in the Philippines that works with the poorest slum communities within metro Manila and nearby cities. Their focus is to plant churches that meet the spiritual and physical needs of the community. This is accomplished in partnership with local churches and with the support of churches abroad, like New City Church.

We support CWTP financially, through fervent prayer, by hosting their leaders when they visit the United States, and through the BAGS ministry (founded by our Covenant Partners Mike & Sheila Evert) which provides school supplies to Filipino children in need. While we yearn to one day visit the Church in the Philippines, short term mission trips have not been feasible for our people due to the extended travel times to Asia.

CWTP UPDATES

ON THE HORIZON

As our partner in Honduras is not presently planting churches, we have been working with Mission to the World to identify another international ministry close enough we will be able to support them with short-term mission trips. We are encouraged by a ministry in Lethbridge, Canada, but our initial vision trip has been placed on hold due to coronavirus limitations. Once international travel resumes in a safe manner, we will resume our efforts to find a long term partner.
