GET TO KNOW NEW CITY

GET TO KNOW NEW CITY

New City Church is a seven year old church planted in the heart of Gwinnett County, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. We have grown from a handful of folks meeting in the pastor's living room, to a vibrant church plant gathering in a middle school gymnasium, to a fully established church in our own facility for more than a year now. The PCA is our denominational home, and we are also a member of the Acts29 church planting network.

The vision of NCC is to live as the family of God, together proclaiming and demonstrating the gospel of grace to one another and our city. Worship is an essential aspect to our vision to live as the family of God and our mission to make, mature, and multiply disciplemakers. Our deepest desire is for our corporate worship gatherings to flow out of a personal life of worship and service to our King, Jesus Christ.

We are seeking to hire our first ever full-time Worship Director to minister alongside of us through an exciting season of expansion and growth. The Worship Director will report directly to the Lead Pastor and will contribute to the implementation of the vision of New City Church by organizing and facilitating corporate worship gatherings as well as equipping the other musicians, worship leaders, and the Tech Team.

We believe that a community of worshippers of Jesus is at the very heart of who God is calling us to be at New City Church. The mission of cultivating this community is accomplished through a three-pronged focus:

  • Leading worship with excellence
  • Discipling teams with care
  • Scaling the ministry to meet the demands of a growing congregation

Therefore, we foresee that our Worship Director will be both musically and relationally connected to the team of people that God brings to lead us in corporate worship.

  • the ability to effectively engage the diverse context of Lawrenceville in worship.
  • the ability to select and implement songs that are congruent with our desire to be a transcultural church.
